The Russian leader said that the UN Security Council must devote the necessary attention to this

MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. It is impossible to discuss socio-economic development without ensuring security first thing, and the UN Security Council must pay attention to this, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at the plenary session of the third Russia-Africa summit.

The topic arose following a speech by the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Felix Tshisekedi, who addressed the issue of security.

"You have highlighted a very important aspect - namely, the question of ensuring security. Naturally, without resolving these problems, it is impossible to speak of any kind of economic or social development. It is self-evident. Of course, the UN Security Council must devote the necessary attention to this," Putin said.
