According to Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Yevgeny Terekhin, the liberalization of the entry regime will be addressed depending on growth of reciprocal tourist flows and bilateral business contacts
MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russia and Ethiopia intend to explore the prospects for continuation of gradual facilitation of the visa regime for tourists and businessmen on a reciprocal basis, Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Yevgeny Terekhin said in an interview with TASS ahead of the Russia-Africa summit.
"The question of continuation of gradual liberalization of the entry regime will be addressed depending on growth of reciprocal tourist flows and bilateral business contacts," he said.
The visa-free travel regime based on the relevant intergovernmental agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports remains in place, the diplomat said. "Russian citizens holding standard international passports can either apply for an electronic visa or obtain a visa upon arrival in Ethiopia at the Addis Ababa airport," he added.
