Russian PM Mishustin meets with Iranian First Vice President Aref
The talks were held at the Kokhi Somon governmental residence
DUSHANBE, October 19. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Tajikistan to attend a meeting of prime ministers from Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries, held talks with Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, a TASS correspondent reported.
The Russian delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko, Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak, and Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Sazanov.
The talks were held at the Kokhi Somon governmental residence.
Although Iran’s government is headed by the president, the country is typically represented at multilateral meeting of heads of government by the first vice president.
Mishustin’s previous talks with Aref were also held on the sidelines of a SCO prime ministers’ meeting, which was held in Moscow in November 2025.
