MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. The equipment and infrastructure of a data center in Kiev have been completely destroyed by Russian strikes and cannot be restored following the explosions, the Ukrainian telecommunications company Datagroup, which owned the damaged data center, reported.
"The equipment and infrastructure of the Datagroup data center have been completely destroyed. Unfortunately, its restoration and subsequent operation are impossible," the company stated in a post on its Facebook page (banned in Russia, owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist in Russia).
According to the UNIAN news agency, Datagroup provided internet access, communications, data center and cloud services to businesses, government agencies, and private customers in more than 90 localities across Ukraine.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Datagroup data center and the Fire Point logistics hub, used for the production and storage of components for long-range, fixed-wing attack drones, as well as engines for the ground-launched FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, were hit in Kiev overnight to Monday.
