Russia says Kiev disguises military supply channel by concern for global food security
Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova specified that the Black Sea artery supplying Vladimir Zelensky’s regime is "very important for its sponsors"
MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. The Kiev regime, supposedly concerned about the global food security, wants to have a reliable maritime supply channel for its army, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"After the effectiveness of Russia’s retaliatory strikes against the military and economic potential of the Zelensky regime became obvious, and the delivery of weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces through the Black Sea ports was effectively blocked, various proposals began to emerge from all sides - proposals to agree on ‘maritime’, ‘energy’, and ‘air’ truces, to establish ‘maritime security corridors’, and so on," the diplomat stated in response to a question from journalists.
In her view, this is linked to "Zelensky’s desire, together with his handlers, to find ways to reduce the intensity of strikes by the Russian armed forces. Their goal is obvious - under the formal pretext of concern for the global food security, to secure a protected maritime supply channel for weapons to the armed forces of Ukraine and to create yet another mechanism of political and economic pressure on Russia," Zakharova said, adding that "the Black Sea artery supplying Zelensky’s regime is very important for its sponsors."
