Russian president responded with understanding to some proposals from the US side regarding steps aimed at de-escalation, Dmitriy Peskov said
MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. Most of the phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump was devoted to a settlement in Ukraine at the request of the US side, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"At the initiative of US President Donald Trump, most of the phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin was devoted to a settlement in Ukraine," Peskov said.
"During the conversation, the Russian president responded with understanding to some proposals from the US side regarding steps aimed at de-escalation," Peskov said.
The presidents spoke by phone on October 9.
