Europe declares hunt for all Russians — Medvedev
Russians should avoid traveling to European countries for the time being, the Russian security council deputy chairman
MOSCOW, October 9. /TASS/. Russians should avoid traveling to European countries for the time being, as any of them could potentially face arrest amid a campaign targeting Russian citizens in Europe, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has warned.
The remarks follow the detention in Montenegro of Mikhail Zvinchuk, administrator of the Rybar Telegram channel.
"It is, of course, foolish for our people to go traipsing around European countries, even with good intentions and important objectives. Any Russian could potentially become a target. Neither visas, nor invitations, nor any other guarantees offer protection. Anyone can be arrested, especially if they speak the truth about Western countries, the EU, and the Bandera-style neo-Nazi regime. They welcome only the ‘relocant’ scum - and even that is only temporary," Medvedev wrote on social media.
Russia may now have to expand its pool of detainees available for exchange by including European and American nationals in order to secure the release of its own citizens, Medvedev said.
"It is now quite likely that we will need to replenish the exchange pool with European and American morons to get our own people out. There is no other way: when living with wolves, one must howl like a wolf," he wrote on his channel on the MAX platform.
