The diplomatic mission stressed that although Russia had no wish to go to war with Europe, including the Netherlands, it would not "allow anyone to use the language of threats and ultimatums"

THE HAGUE, October 8. /TASS/. The Russian Embassy in the Netherlands is awaiting clarification following Dutch Defense Minister Dilan Yesilgoz-Zegerius’ remark describing Russia as "an enemy," an embassy spokesperson told TASS.

"We are waiting for the Netherlands’ authorities to provide official and unequivocal clarifications regarding the bellicose rhetoric of their minister," the spokesperson said.

According to the diplomat, the defense chief "effectively conceded that they want an armed conflict with Russia." The embassy stressed that although Russia has no wish to go to war with Europe, including the Netherlands, it would not "allow anyone to use the language of threats and ultimatums."

The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported earlier that Yesilgoz-Zegerius said during discussions of the country's defense budget that Russia "is no longer an aggressor," but "an enemy" for the Netherlands.
