Russia has 'clear conscience' over Ukraine talks in Alaska — Lavrov
According to the foreign minister, is not Russia's fault that the US side could not withstand the unprecedented and brazen pressure from Europe, which later proudly declared that it had ‘buried Anchorage’
TURKMENBASHI, Turkmenistan, October 7. /TASS/. Russia has a "clear conscience" over the Ukraine talks in Anchorage, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a news conference following a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.
"Our conscience is clear. Moreover, we fully accepted the US proposals made in August 2025 during the summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska," Lavrov said.
"It is not our fault that the US side could not withstand the unprecedented and brazen pressure from Europe, which later proudly declared that it had ‘buried Anchorage,’" he added.
"So I hope you will have an opportunity to put these questions to the other figures I mentioned (Western and Ukrainian officials - TASS). I named them when describing these dramatic events," the foreign minister said.
