Environmental summit to focus on Caspian littoral state’s cooperation — Kremlin aide

The leaders of the five littoral states are expected to address the event
MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Issues of environmental cooperation between the Caspian littoral states will be discussed at the Caspian Environmental Summit in Turkmenistan, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
"It is expected that the Caspian Environmental Summit will focus primarily on the issue of cooperation among the littoral states in the field of environmental protection, with an emphasis on the problem of the Caspian Sea’s shallowing," he said.
According to Ushakov, the Caspian Environmental Summit, like the CIS summit, will be chaired by Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdymuhamedov. The leaders of the five littoral states are expected to address the event.
