Putin notes successful development of Russia-Uzbekistan partnership

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted the successful development of relations between Moscow and Tashkent in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.

"Relations between our countries are successfully developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. A significant component of these ties is interregional cooperation, which is becoming increasingly active and multifaceted," reads the message of greetings to the participants, organizers, and guests of the 3rd Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan. The telegram was published on the Kremlin's website.

Putin also emphasized that nearly 80 Russian constituent entities are involved in trade-economic, scientific-technical, and humanitarian ties with partners in Uzbekistan.

In addition, Putin highlighted the systematic implementation of a number of joint projects, including facilities currently under construction or already operational across a wide range of sectors, industrial and technology parks, and key infrastructure and social projects.

The Council, the Russian leader continued, serves as a highly valued and effective mechanism for direct, informal dialogue between the two countries. He expressed confidence that the plenary session, thematic sessions, and expert group meetings would foster substantive and productive discussions, paving the way for new, promising forms and avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation.

"I would like to sincerely thank the forum’s organizers and wish all participants a successful and fruitful experience for the benefit of our countries and peoples," Putin concluded.
