GENICHESK, October 6. /TASS/. The town of Alyoshki in the Kherson Region is being destroyed at the expense of European taxpayers, and the collective West is happy about it, chairman of the Kherson Regional Duma Tatyana Tomilina told TASS, adding that Ukraine is trying to cash in on this.

The Alyoshki district is located on the banks of the Dnepr River, opposite Kherson, which is under Ukrainian control. Alyoshki is under constant fire from the Ukrainian military.

"The situation in Alyoshki is extremely difficult and, for the most part, was created by the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces. The city has been living under shelling for a long time, but what is happening now is a disaster. Behind all this hysteria on the Ukrainian side, there is a terrible task in its cynicism - profit. Coupon stripping from the European taxpayer. And the wildest thing is that this order of things in the West suits everyone. It is the West that pays for the destruction of Alyoshki," she said.

Tomilina said that these crimes will not remain unanswered.

"The hour of reckoning will come, and everyone involved will answer for the evil that he brought to the Russian land," she added.

On September 21, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the humanitarian situation in Alyoshki critical, where neither food nor medicine could be brought due to shelling and drone attacks from Kiev. He added that Russia is working to resolve the humanitarian crisis in the city.
