MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin typically continues working on his birthday, and tomorrow he will have a series of phone contacts and other engagements, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

Putin will turn 74 on Wednesday, October 7.

"A birthday is always a very personal celebration. And, of course, the most important thing for the president is that all of his near and dear congratulate him, just like ordinary people. But for the president, it’s rarely a day of pure celebration. Tomorrow, for example, the head of state is scheduled to have a whole series of international phone calls. First and foremost, on the occasion of his birthday, of course. We will keep you informed about that. There will be other events and we will tell you about them tomorrow," Peskov told reporters when asked about Putin’s plans for tomorrow.
