Russia ready to facilitate end to Afghanistan-Pakistan strife — official

According to Zamir Kabulov, Moscow is ready to assist in ending the conflict either on its own or in partnership with our other partners

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Russia is ready to provide any assistance to help end the conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan, said the president’s special representative Zamir Kabulov after a meeting of the Moscow Format of consultations on Afghanistan.

"Russia is ready to assist in ending this conflict in any possible, permissible way - either on its own or in partnership with our other partners - provided that both sides make such a request. We are ready to provide the maximum possible assistance," he noted.

On September 23, Pakistan said Afghan drones incurred its airspace, which Islamabad viewed as a "violation of sovereignty" and an "act of aggression."

The Pakistan Air Force carried out precision strikes from the air and with drones against ten facilities in Afghanistan used to launch and store these drones.

Islamabad said the attack killed 28 terrorists, while Kabul said three civilians were killed.
