Ukrainian events constitute Western act of aggression against Russia — Putin
The Russian leader emphasized that Moscow is in favor of resolving all issues peacefully, through mutual agreement
MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. The events in Ukraine constitute an act of aggression by the collective West against Russia, carried out by the Ukrainian nationalist regime, President Vladimir Putin said during the plenary session of the 23rd meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
"As for aggression, I have already said – or rather, hinted at, albeit somewhat obliquely – but I want to emphasize once again: the events unfolding in Ukraine are also an act of aggression by the collective West against Russia, carried out through the Ukrainian nationalist regime. We oppose any form of aggression. We are in favor of resolving all issues peacefully, through mutual agreement," the Russian leader noted.
The president also pointed out that Russia’s position on world events is transparent and has been thoroughly explained by the Foreign Ministry.
