Vladimir Saldo noted that a multi-layered defense system against Ukrainian UAVs is now fully operational across the region

MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. As a frontline area, the Kherson Region has become a "testing ground" for all new developments in the field of unmanned aerial systems, as well as measures to counter them, Governor Vladimir Saldo stated in an interview with TASS.

"More and more different unmanned aerial systems, drones, and hexacopter UAVs are appearing around the world. "And the testing ground is right here with us. That's because we're using all these drones in real-world conditions. And the fact that this tension and their numbers are now increasing was obviously predetermined. We need to understand how to use these unmanned aerial systems to our advantage--and how to counter them," said Saldo.

He noted that a multi-layered defense system against Ukrainian UAVs is now fully operational across the region.

"This, of course, includes the strike elements of unmanned aerial systems, electronic warfare capabilities, and means of disorienting the aircraft. In short, we are increasingly using this entire range of measures," the region’s head specified.
