GENICHESK, September 30. /TASS/. The Kiev regime is fully responsible for the abuse of civilians in the Alyoshki area of the Kherson Region, but is trying to blame Russia for the consequences of its own crimes and to mislead the European community, Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told TASS.

"What is happening now around Alyoshki is a manipulative setup that the strategists of [Vladimir] Zelensky are trying to fill the information and public space in the West with. The people who are now walking the streets of European capitals with slogans and demanding to save Alyoshki have a poor understanding of where Alyoshki is located, they don’t know that Russian citizens live there, and they don’t understand that they are participating in a total, monstrous lie! Kiev, which is 100% guilty of abusing the civilian population of Alyoshki, is the loudest to yell 'Catch the thief!'" Miroshnik said.

On September 21, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the humanitarian situation in Alyoshki as critical, noting that it is impossible to deliver food or medicines there due to shelling and drone attacks by Kiev. He added that Russia is working to resolve the humanitarian crisis in the city. A serviceman from the 18th Combined Arms Army of the Dnepr battlegroup with the call sign Volga told TASS that the Kiev regime has turned the front·line Alyoshki into a "zone of death".

Konstantin Basyuk, deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security and a senator from the region, said on September 29 that the city is effectively cut off: there is no stable communication, electricity, or water supply. Ukraine is thwarting Russian attempts to restore infrastructure by targeting emergency crews. According to him, since June 2025, the population of Alyoshki has decreased from 5,000-6,000 to 1,300 people, and those who remain are still being blocked, deprived of the most basic necessities.

Miroshnik noted that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sybiga used the podium of the UN General Assembly to spread cynical lies about the situation in Alyoshki and to attempt to shift responsibility onto Moscow. Deputy of the Kherson Regional Duma Yury Barbashov told TASS that the Kiev regime’s attempt to shift the blame for the humanitarian situation in Alyoshki onto Russia was a form of revenge for exposing the falsification of events in Bucha.
