ISTRA /Moscow Region/, September 29. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov urged that Russia’s military doctrine be studied closely, commenting on Poland’s plans to establish Patriot missile production in the country and the extent of Europe’s involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.

"We have a military doctrine on this matter, which President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] has cited repeatedly. I urge you to study carefully the relevant section of this crucial document," Lavrov told reporters on the sidelines of the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club.

Earlier, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka said Poland had proposed that the United States establish joint production with Ukraine of missiles for Patriot air defense systems in a "safe location."

Polish authorities are currently preparing the 50th tranche of military aid to Ukraine. The total value of all weapons packages Warsaw has supplied to Kiev since 2022 amounts to around $5 billion. In summer 2026, a controversy broke out in Poland over the delivery of several Patriot missiles to the Ukrainian armed forces as part of a broader NATO aid package. The opposition accused the government at the time of jeopardizing the country’s security.
