MOSCOW, September 27. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov brought the Western minority back to reality regarding the situation around Ukraine during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, dismantling all of its narratives, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Vesti.

"This was Sergey Lavrov bringing this Western minority back to reality," she said. "This was particularly evident during the Security Council meeting devoted to the situation around Ukraine. And, of course, at the General Assembly - it was a return to the historical context, to the course of history," the diplomat added.

Zakharova noted that Western representatives take historical episodes out of whichever era and context suits them and begin reshaping them to serve their own immediate interests. "These narratives of theirs were completely dismantled by bringing the discussion back into its historical context and reminding everyone who was actually responsible for all of this and who played the leading role - particularly when we talk about the situation around Ukraine - and what needs to be done to find a way out of it," she added.
