Restoring trust between Arab nations and Iran is a precondition for resolving the situation around the Strait of Hormuz, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, addressing the General Debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Saturday.

"We view establishing trust in relations between the coastal [Persian] Gulf states - Arab nations and Iran - as a precondition for resolving the [Hormuz] crisis," Russia’s top diplomat said.
