MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov has inspected the Battlegroup North and heard reports from commanders on the current situation in the group’s area of responsibility, the Defense Ministry said.

"During a working trip to the special military operation zone, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov heard reports from commanders on the current situation in the areas of responsibility at the command post of one of the Battlegroup North’s units," the ministry said in a statement.

Following his visit to the command post, Belousov presented state awards to servicemen who had demonstrated valor, courage, and heroism, according to the ministry.

One of the recipients said he had been honored for the liberation of the community of Mogritsa in the Sumy Region.

"Victory will be ours. Glory to Russia!" he said upon receiving the award.

Another serviceman said his family would be proud of his achievement.

"Operating as part of an assault group, we approached the settlement under the cover of our strike UAVs. A small-arms engagement ensued, and we drove the enemy from their position, thereby capturing the community. It is a great honor to receive a medal from the hands of the Defense Minister," he said.
