According to him, by providing the Kiev regime with "unrestrained and increasingly multifaceted assistance and support," London is directly violating "a number of legally and politically binding documents, both bilateral and multilateral." "The UK has thereby put itself on the verge of transitioning from a de facto party to the conflict to a de jure party," Ryabkov said.

"We are issuing the strongest possible warning to the United Kingdom about the consequences of further escalation," he said. "They are risking their own security," he noted.

The senior diplomat pointed out that Moscow's position on the matter had been set out in detail in a note recently handed to the British charge d'affaires in Russia.
