MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. The DPRK’s leader Kim Jong Un has been invited to visit Russia; the dates will be coordinated through diplomatic channels, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko has told TASS.

"The DPRK’s leader Kim Jong Un has been invited to visit our country. Russia will always be glad to welcome the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The dates of the visit will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels," Rudenko noted.

He also emphasized that the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Russia and the DPRK, signed in Pyongyang in June 2024, has elevated "traditionally friendly Russian-Korean relations to a qualitatively new level of alliance."

"In keeping with the spirit and letter of the new fundamental treaty, and as part of an active dialogue with the DPRK at various levels, intensive work is underway to further enhance bilateral cooperation - including in practical areas through the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation," Rudenko added.
