MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the current situation in the Persian Gulf with Arab League Secretary General Nabil Fahmy.

"The sides held a detailed discussion of the current Middle East agenda, focusing on the explosive situation in the Persian Gulf caused by US-Israeli aggression against Iran. The crisis situations in the area of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Lebanon and Syria were also discussed," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement following their talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
