MOSCOW, September 20. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to South Ossetia’s elected President Marat Kambolov, noting the successful development of relations with the republic.

"Russian-South Ossetian relations are successfully developing in the spirit of good-neighborliness and allied cooperation. Moscow and Tskhinval are working productively across a wide range of areas and cooperating to strengthen regional security and stability. We will undoubtedly continue our close joint work to further expand our multifaceted partnership ties," the telegram published on the Kremlin website said.

The Russian president noted that Russia will continue to assist the authorities and people of South Ossetia in addressing important challenges.
