MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. The updated state arms program prioritizes the nuclear triad because it remains a guarantee of the country’s sovereignty and the balance of power in the world, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission.

"Among the unconditional priorities, as before, is the strengthening of the nuclear triad, which remains a guarantee of our country’s sovereignty and plays a key role in maintaining the balance of power in the world," he said.

Almost all the weapons possessed by the Russian Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) are modern ones, President Vladimir Putin said/

"It is unlikely that any nuclear-armed country in the world can boast of indicators, say, [like those of] our Strategic Missile Forces," the Supreme Commander noted. "92% modern weapons.".
