MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. The regions of Donbass and Novorossiya have fully become part of Russia’s election system, Central Election Commission (CEC) Deputy Chairman Nikolay Bulayev said during a briefing at the commission’s information center.

"Today, the four reunited regions are integrated into Russia’s election system in every respect. <...> Today, their election systems are no different from those in any other Russian region in terms of voting technologies in use," he noted.

According to Bulayev, the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are holding elections under extremely challenging conditions. "The Central Election Commission has made many decisions to help our colleagues [in the historical regions] ensure that everyone living there can exercise their right to vote, including service members, voters and specialists from other regions helping restore infrastructure. It’s quite a lot of people," he concluded.
