The Ukrainian people will probably hardly be able to recover from such losses, Lieutenant General Apty Alaudinov said

MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. The demographic situation in Ukraine is critical, but the country’s leadership is prepared to fight to the last Ukrainian, Lieutenant General Apty Alaudinov, Deputy Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces and commander of the Russian Defense Ministry’s Akhmat special forces unit, told TASS.

"The demographic situation in Ukraine is critical. And the Ukrainian people will probably hardly be able to recover from such losses," the lieutenant general said.

He noted that if mobilization and the military conflict continue, it "will become a catastrophe for Ukraine." "We regret that so many Ukrainians are dying. However, Ukraine’s leadership does not regret this and is prepared to go on to the last Ukrainian," Alaudinov added.
