"Trade turnover is growing, and its structure is improving," Putin said at the meeting, noting that Russian and Egyptian authorities remain in contact.

The Russian president met with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit.
