Kiev sees Leipzig drone incident pushing EU toward more arms supplies — intel agency

MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. Kiev believes the drone incident in Leipzig will motivate the EU to send more weapons to Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) press service said.

"Kiev is celebrating: the operation worked. Europeans were 'spurred' by new 'evidence of Russia’s aggressive and hostile policy' and pushed to empty their military stockpiles to keep the Kiev regime afloat," the intelligence agency said.

"Perhaps another goal may also be achieved: weakening public support for Germany’s opposition forces that favor a pragmatic policy toward Russia," it added.
