Shock from massive drone attacks on Donbass and Novorossiya mostly over — envoy

Rodion Miroshnik said that Russian authorities are finding ways to reduce the pressure from Ukraine and to create acceptable living conditions for the civilian population

MELITOPOL, August 23. /TASS/. Donbass and Novorossiya have mostly overcome the shock caused by the massive drone strikes on civilian targets, which Ukraine has intensified in recent months, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador at Large on Kiev’s War Crimes Rodion Miroshnik told TASS.

Earlier, he said that Ukraine has stepped up strikes on civilian targets in Donbass and Novorossiya since the beginning of May.

"I can say that much of the shock caused by the first such massive actions has passed. And we are now in a situation where both the regional leadership and the state are gradually finding ways to reduce the pressure from Ukrainian terrorists as much as possible and to create acceptable conditions for the survival of the civilian population and the functioning of civilian infrastructure," Miroshnik said.

The ambassador also expressed confidence that the Russian authorities will soon restore normal life in Donbass and Novorossiya.
