MELITOPOL, August 21. /TASS/. The behavior of Western countries possessing nuclear technology is strange, as they remain silent about the Ukrainian provocations against the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large for the crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik told TASS during his working visit to the Zaporozhye Region.

The Zaporozhye NPP has been without an external power supply for over a day due to the shutdown of the last 330 kV high-voltage power supply line, known as Ferrosplavnaya-1. Director Yury Chernichuk stated that staff have been forced to optimize generator operations to reduce diesel fuel consumption because fuel reserves have not increased due to Ukrainian armed forces attacking all shipments delivered to Energodar in recent months.

"The silence from the so-called civilized world, especially from countries that possess nuclear technology, is quite strange. If they believe this can have only a one-sided impact, they are very much mistaken," Miroshnik said.

The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Energodar have repeatedly come under Ukrainian attack. On July 15, Ukrainian forces attacked a ZNPP service vehicle with a drone, killing Chief Engineer Alexander Yakovlev and the driver. Then, on July 18, a Ukrainian drone hit an area near a bus stop in Energodar where people were waiting for transportation to work. One person was killed and 20 were injured, most of whom were Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant employees.
