Zelensky ‘reaps fruits’ of miscalculated choices, veteran says about Russian strikes
The Russian Armed Forces are conducting targeted strikes against infrastructure and vessels used by the Ukrainian military in the Black Sea
LUGANSK, August 13. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky is now reaping the consequences of his own miscalculated choices, following Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian military targets in the Black Sea. Such precise surgical operations have been long anticipated by Russia, according to Vasily Tarasov, head of the Association of Veterans of the Special Military Operation from the Lugansk People's Republic, who spoke to TASS.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces are conducting targeted strikes against infrastructure and vessels used by the Ukrainian military in the Black Sea, aiming to undermine navigation and disrupt the flow of Western weapons and military equipment to Kiev.
"Ukraine is facing the repercussions of its own actions - that's how I see it. This has been expected in our country for some time. We all understood the implications of the so-called grain deal. Ukraine made two critical errors: first, under the pretext of a grain export agreement, it allowed ships carrying Western weapons into its ports. Second, Russia’s decision to permit ships exporting grain from Ukraine was perceived as a sign of weakness, not kindness. Now, Zelensky is reaping the consequences of what I would call his ‘brilliant decisions,’" the veteran remarked.
