ARKHANGELSK, August 13. /TASS/. Any attempts to resolve problems in the Arctic without Russia's participation will be futile, Moscow will continue to promote peace in the region, Vladislav Maslennikov, the Director of the Department of European Problems at the Russian Foreign Ministry, told the 4th Arctic Regions Forum.

"It is important to understand that without Russia, any attempts to effectively resolve pressing problems in the Arctic will be futile. Regardless of the geopolitical situation our country will continue to use all its foreign policy tools to maintain peace and stability in the region and maximize the promotion of international cooperation and the development of our northern territories," he noted.
