MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. Russian-Chinese ties are exceptional and stable; they are protected from international fluctuations, Russian Ambassador to Beijing Igor Morgulov said in an address released early to participants at the 2nd Russian-Chinese forum that will be held in Khabarovsk on September 4 through 6.

In his address, the Russian diplomat noted that the forum will be held in the year when the two countries mark the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between Russia and China, which laid a solid groundwork for the steady development of the entire range of ties between them.

"It (the treaty - TASS) committed to paper such basic notions as eternal friendship, equality, non-interference into domestic affairs, mutual respect to sovereignty and territorial integrity, and due account of each other’s interests. These time-tested principles ensure the exclusive stability of Russian-Chinese relations, protect them from fluctuations of the international situation, make bilateral ties truly strategic," Morgulov said in the address that was released by the forum’s organizers.

According to the organizers, the central event of the forum will be a plenary session titled "Russian-Chinese Cooperation: Together toward Sustainable Development and Prosperity," which will focus on prospects for strategic partnership and cooperation between border regions.

The 2nd Russian-Chinese forum will take place in Khabarovsk on September 4-6 under the motto "Bolshoi Ussuriysky: Cooperation in Joint Development of the Island." The forum is expected to be attended by more than 3,000 delegates: company CEOs, government officials and representatives of the creative sector. The program includes more than 40 events, from B2B meetings to sports tournaments and cultural festivals.

The forum’s organizer is the Khabarovsk Region government supported by the office of the Russian presidential envoy to the Far Eastern federal district, the Russian ministry for the development of the Far East and the Arctic region, the foreign, economic development, and industry and trade ministries, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, and the Russian Export Center. The Roscongress Foundation is the event’s operator.
