MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Chisinau blindly carries out Brussels’ anti-Russian directives, avoiding a civilized diplomatic dialogue with Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told TASS.

"We have repeatedly noted that official Chisinau has lost even a semblance of independence and is blindly carrying out directives from Brussels aimed primarily against Russia. Hence the Moldovan authorities’ drive to purge Moldova’s socio-political landscape of everything associated with our country at any cost. To this end, the Chisinau regime restricted the operations of Russian and Russian-language media, launched a crackdown on political opponents interested in restoring constructive dialogue with Russia, and sought to make Russian-Moldovan contacts in the economic, scientific-educational, cultural, and humanitarian spheres as difficult as possible," he said.

"Unfortunately, the Moldovan side is persistently avoiding" a civilized diplomatic dialogue regarding the full range of issues related to cross-border movement between the two countries, Galuzin noted.

"In this context, it is evident that Moldovan leaders are irritated by the day-to-day work of our diplomacy, the tasks of which include fostering mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Moldova and strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between the peoples of our countries," he concluded.
