MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky’s attempts to interfere in Russia-China relations are doomed to fail, said Alexey Fadeyev, deputy director of the information and press department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The Chinese have a winged expression - a mantis tries to stop a chariot with its legs. I think the meaning is quite clear here, and this is a venture that is doomed to fail from the outset and is beyond the capabilities of its initiator," the diplomat said at a briefing.

Fadeyev said that Russian-Chinese relations "are at an unprecedentedly high level and continue to develop dynamically in accordance with the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries.

"We are absolutely confident about the future of our comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation, as well as about the centuries-old bonds of friendship between the Chinese and Russian peoples. In fact, no attempts by ill-wishers will be able to change this sovereign choice of Moscow and Beijing."
