MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov responded to offers from Western countries to help with Ukraine by noting that Russia has an army and a navy to deal with that issue.

"Now our Turkish neighbors are once again saying that they are ready to help Ukraine. At the same time, however, they are signing NATO documents that state the need to restore the territorial integrity of the Kiev regime. Other proposals include the current US administration saying that, once they ‘deal with’ Iran, they will resume helping us. We have an army and a navy, as well as air and space forces, which have existed for quite some time, and drones," the top diplomat said in an interview with TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov.

At the same time, the foreign minister noted that Russia also has its people. "When they say, ‘Let’s just sort things out somewhere over there,’ let everything stay as it is - let’s freeze the situation along the line of engagement, and then we’ll figure out how to find a compromise. First of all, we have a sense of historical continuity and identity, as well as national and multinational pride," Lavrov emphasized.
