MOSCOW, July 28. /TASS/. Russian troops liberated the community of Krasny Kut in the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.

"Battlegroup Center units liberated the settlement of Krasny Kut in the Donetsk People’s Republic through active operations," the ministry said in a statement.

The Ukrainian army lost roughly 1,410 troops in battles with Russian forces in all the frontline areas over the past 24 hours, according to the latest data on the special military operation in Ukraine released by Russia’s Defense Ministry.

The latest figures show that the Ukrainian army lost roughly 250 troops and two armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup North, about 220 troops and a field artillery gun in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup West and over 150 troops, an armored personnel carrier and two armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup South.

During the last 24-hour period, the Ukrainian army also lost roughly 360 troops and an armored combat vehicle in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup Center, about 365 troops and eight armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup East and around 65 troops and 20 motor vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup Dnepr, the latest figures show.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 250 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy armored combat vehicles in its areas of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup North units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Velikaya Rybitsa, Ulanovo and Ryzhevka in the Sumy Region," the ministry said.

In the Kharkov direction, Battlegroup North units inflicted losses on formations of three mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, a territorial defense brigade and a border guard detachment of Ukraine’s Border Guard Service in areas near the settlements of Olkhovatka, Kupino, Kazachya Lopan and Bely Kolodez in the Kharkov Region, the ministry reported.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 250 personnel, two armored combat vehicles, 11 motor vehicles and an artillery gun in those frontline areas over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted roughly 220 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy field artillery gun in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup West units gained better lines and positions and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, a territorial defense brigade and a National Guard brigade in areas near the settlements of Palamarevka, Blagodatovka, Podliman and Olgovka in the Kharkov Region, Yatskovka, Svyatogorsk and Dolina in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

Overall, the Ukrainian army lost an estimated 220 personnel, 22 motor vehicles, a field artillery gun and three electronic warfare stations in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup West over the past 24 hours, the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup South inflicts over 150 casualties on Ukrainian army in past day

Russia’s Battlegroup South inflicted more than 150 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy armored personnel carrier and two armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup South units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on formations of two mechanized brigades and an airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Vysokoivanovka, Nikolaipolye, Verolyubovka, Nikolayevka, Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka and Stenki in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

Overall, the Ukrainian army lost more than 150 personnel, a Bucephalus armored personnel carrier, two armored combat vehicles, 29 motor vehicles, three artillery guns and two electronic warfare stations in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup South over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicted roughly 360 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy armored combat vehicle in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

During the last 24-hour period, Battlegroup Center units "inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and a National Guard brigade in areas near the settlements of Gruzskoye, Sergeyevka, Novoandreyevka, Svetloye, Dobropolye and Rubezhnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Ivanovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 360 personnel, an armored combat vehicle, a motor vehicle and an electronic warfare station in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 365 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed eight enemy armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup East units continued advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of three air assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Gavrilovka, Kolomiytsy, Vasilkovka and Velikomikhailovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, Timoshevka, Barvinovka and Dolinka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 365 personnel, eight armored combat vehicles, 11 motor vehicles and an artillery gun in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr eliminates 65 Ukrainian troops in past day

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr eliminated roughly 65 Ukrainian troops and destroyed 20 enemy motor vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted losses on formations of a mechanized brigade, a mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and a marine infantry brigade in areas near the settlements of Primorskoye, Orekhov and Malokaterinovka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.

"Up to 65 [Ukrainian] military personnel and 20 motor vehicles were destroyed," it said.

Russian forces hammer Ukrainian ammo, fuel depots over past day

Russian forces struck Ukrainian ammunition and fuel depots, drone assembly sites and enemy deployment areas over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.

"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck ammunition and fuel depots, workshops producing and sites storing long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, fuel and energy and transport infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army, and also temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 locations," the ministry said.

Russian air defenses intercept 842 Ukrainian UAVs, 17 smart bombs over past day

Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 842 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 17 smart bombs over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities shot down 17 guided aerial bombs, three rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 842 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.

Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 673 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 284 helicopters, 191,280 unmanned aerial vehicles, 667 surface-to-air missile systems, 30,339 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,766 multiple rocket launchers, 35,933 field artillery guns and mortars and 67,675 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
