MOSCOW, July 28. /TASS/. The idea of an air truce with Ukraine raises many questions, particularly regarding the mechanisms for monitoring compliance and guarantees for stopping Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory, a Russian diplomatic source told TASS.

"This idea raises many questions. First of all, it is unclear who will be in charge of monitoring it. Ukraine is too large a country by European standards to create a no-fly zone for drones, let alone Russia," the source said. According to the source, it is also unclear who will guarantee that "the Ukrainians will comply with the agreements and stop attacking Russian territory."

Earlier, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that reports about a possible discussion between Vladimir Zelensky and US President Donald Trump of an air truce in Ukraine are nothing more than media speculation. He noted that there is currently no clear information on this matter, as well as no new proposals for resolving the situation in Ukraine.
