RZHEV, July 27. /TASS/. Russia’s army and law enforcement agencies will punish the Kiev regime for its terrorist attacks against civilians, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.

"After all, they understand that they cannot beat us on the battlefield. It is obvious to them and to those supplying weapons to them. That is why they are targeting civilians. Punishment will follow for that. Both through the efforts of the Russian Armed Forces and through the work of law enforcement agencies that continue to gather evidence to bring Kiev regime officials, Ukrainian military commanders, and foreign mercenaries to criminal liability for war crimes and terrorism," the diplomat noted.

Zakharova recalled that in the Donetsk People’s Republic, from July 15 to 23, five people were killed and 20 more suffered injuries as a result of Ukrainian shelling and drone attacks. "In the Zaporozhye Region, in that period of time, Ukrainian strikes killed three people and injured at least 24 more. In the Kherson Region, from July 15 to 23, nine people died and at least 43 others were wounded in Ukrainian shelling and drone attacks. In the Yaroslavl Region, on July 16, one man was killed by falling UAV debris, another four were injured, while air defense systems repelled a massive drone attack," she noted.
