Washington’s aggression was completely unprovoked, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman noted
MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. The US launched aggression against Iran in the absence of threats and amidst ongoing negotiations, which signals the breakdown of the international legal order, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said as he answered journalists’ questions following his visit to Iran.
Washington’s aggression was completely unprovoked, he noted. "Iran posed no threat to the United States. Moreover, it was engaged in negotiations with the American delegation and was on the verge of reaching certain agreements when the order to strike Iran was issued," Medvedev added.
"This is a regrettable fact that speaks, in essence, to the breakdown of the international legal system," he noted.
