Eurobureaucrats need to recognize link between migration policy, housing crisis — Dmitriev

MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. The housing crisis in the EU, announced by the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, is directly related to migration policy, which has brought over 60 million immigrants to the bloc, said Russian Presidential Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.

"After more than 60 million immigrants have arrived in the EU, Ursula [von der Leyen] giving everyone her trademark smile, announces the European housing crisis. How about European bureaucrats start recognizing elementary cause-and-effect relationships?" Dmitriev wrote on X.

Earlier, von der Leyen announced the need to create an alliance within the European Union to address housing issues, because the bloc is facing a crisis of housing affordability and quality.
