MINSK, June 26. /TASS/. The armed conflict in Ukraine is being dragged on by the European members of NATO, Deputy Defense Minister, Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian army, Army General Viktor Goremykin said at the IV International Anti-Fascist Congress.

"The conflict in Ukraine, planned and provoked by NATO and EU countries, has led to the final collapse of the Euro-Atlantic security model. It is the European NATO members that are prolonging this armed conflict. The leaders of many European countries are doing their best to convince the US administration to abandon the idea of a negotiated settlement in Ukraine. The West is no longer hiding the preparations for a new big European war," Goremykin said.
