MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. To hold a dialogue with European countries, Russia needs to know that Europe has a genuine desire to talk, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a TASS correspondent.
"First of all, we need to ensure that Europe has a desire to hold a dialogue," Peskov noted, responding to a question about the prospects for talks between Russia and Europe.
Peskov said that even the mere discussion of such talks is a positive sign, but the mixed signals around them remain a negative one.
He also commented on the idea of mediators being involved in those talks, saying that it's unclear whether that will be necessary.
