MOSCOW, May 28. /TASS/. In the present-day conditions, nuclear weapons in the Asia-Pacific region remain a possibility, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said at the First International Security Forum held under the council's auspices.
He said that a number of arms control treaties have already been terminated, and the overall trend of militarization can be observed in the region.
"We cannot exclude the emergence of nuclear weapons, including in this region," Shoigu said.
