MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu will meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, Army Gen. Phan Van Giang to discuss global affairs and the situation in the Middle East.
The press service of the Russian Security Council said the sides "will discuss the current situation worldwide from the perspective of the Middle East conflict and the situation in Asia-Pacific."
The Russian Security Council maintains regular contacts with Vietnam. Last December, Shoigu visited Hanoi to meet top Vietnamese officials there. In March, he met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Moscow in March.
