MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. The economies of Russia and India are complementary, while the strategic interests of Moscow and New Delhi coincide, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said via video link at a press conference.

As the diplomat noted, both India and Russia possess the potential of self-sufficient powers. "Our economies are complementary, and our long-term strategic interests coincide. As for balancing relations with our key partners in Asia, we have always sought this and are actively advancing a specially privileged strategic partnership with India," the diplomat said.

"Russia is very open to comprehensive cooperation with India to the extent that India itself is ready for it. Everyone benefits from this. Our ties are mutually beneficial and are not directed against anyone," Alipov concluded.
