Parties involved in trilateral talks on Ukraine aware of next step — Kremlin aide
Yury Ushakov said this step is expected to be taken on behalf of Kiev, particularly from Vladimir Zelensky
MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/. All parties involved in the trilateral negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict settlement realize which important step must be taken to finalize it, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov said on Thursday.
"It is obvious to everyone, including, I would say, the Ukrainian negotiators, that Kiev needs to take only one serious step, after which – firstly, military operations will be suspended, secondly, there will be a prospect for a serious discussion of the future long-term settlement of this issue," Ushakov stated.
"Everyone understands this and that's why, to be frank, it is a waste of time to continue convincing each other, because this step is expected to be taken on behalf of Kiev, particularly from [Vladimir] Zelensky. If this step is taken, we will make significant progress in resolving the situation," he added.
