UN, April 30. /TASS/. The UN Security Council's sanctions against Pyongyang have lost their relevance, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the world organization Vasily Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on North Korea.

According to him, history has clearly shown that the sanctions are counterproductive.

"Today, the situation in the region has changed dramatically. As a result, the council's sanctions have also lost their relevance," the diplomat said.
